I was looking up famous art colleges and discovered the teachers' and staff's websites to see what people in such positions create and post. I found an archive of exhibitions, and this strange owl-woman figurine caught my interest. This is at the Freud Museum in London. I would love to have odd creations like this in my house.

Will be updating more owl finds over time.

My Art Selling Journey (so far.....)

 I created my Etsy account, AlisonsArtUS, a little over a year ago in the early months of 2025. I listed a few prints, but never finalized them or even posted about them because of fear and insecurity. My biggest worry was shipping. What if my art got damaged or lost? I never shipped art prints before. My dad has experience with shipping different items, and he's thankfully helping me out. I am just a person filled with plenty of self-doubt. 

As of May 27 of 2026, I currently have 10 active listings, 5 admirers, and 1 sale! 

I sold one ACEO called "Polka Dot Pensiveness," a mini art card I drew using alcohol marker and acrylic marker. I was grateful when I got a good review; I knew my girl made it to her new home safely! <3

Thought I heard a UFO but it was just my neighbor's electric car :|

     One night, I was convinced a UFO landed in my front yard. I heard a strange whirring sound, almost like music. I didn't check because I was too comfy in bed. I was also a teensy bit scared. However, I then heard the same sound in the daytime and went to check- all I saw was my neighbor backing up into their driveway. I realized the "UFO" I heard was just an electric car. I was disappointed, but remembered most things have a logical explanation of sorts, which I find boring. Well, MOST things. Though, what if aliens disguise their UFO to SOUND like an electric car on purpose...? Think about it...

 Take me to the au where instead of an apple a day it’s an oreo a day… imagine a reversed dimension where sweets r eaten to combat cavities. Dream land 😿

New Lolita-Inspired Skirt

 

    

    I recently ordered this cutesy skirt I had saved on Depop. I decided to buy it after seeing it in a few other people's carts lolll #snatchedittt.

                

         She came home safely, and she fits perfectly. So pretty! I've been thinking of buying a petticoat to go with her... but I'm not sure which site is best to buy them. I'm happy to finally have a new skirt, I haven't shopped on Depop in about 3 years omg

    Some cute little goodies came wrapped in the skirt, hehe. Also got a lil thank you note. So happy!! Can't wait to wear her out <3

THAT ONE TIME I WAS A KID AND STUMBLED UPON A TOY THAT DOESN'T EXIST IN THIS REALM

    One of the strangest and most unexplained moments of my life occurred at a Toys R Us years before they shut all their stores. I don't recall the exact year, but I must've been somewhere around 8-10 years old. I didn't frequent Toys R Us too often as a kid, so when I last went, I was very excited. My mom also still remembers these events and this bizarre story.

    Once we were inside the building, I wandered away from my mom's side to check out all the different sections. That was when a certain toy caught my eye. A cool pen sat inside a box hung from the shelving. As an artist, I was intrigued- even more so when I read what the pen really was.

    According to the instructions, if you used this pen to draw an image and then pressed it, your drawing would emit the sound of whatever you created. Whether the pen was used on blank, standard paper, or digitally is a blur to me, though I do vividly remember a simple bird doodle drawn on the cover, with music notes surrounding it. I also thought you could just touch your drawing with your finger and it would still work. I had never heard of something like that before, and I knew I NEEDED it.

    I was so thrilled that I ran to go fetch my mom and show her the cool toy I found. Once I grabbed her, I headed back to where the pen was- or where I thought it used to be. But, no matter how much I searched every aisle, I was not able to find the pen again. I felt disappointed, and I swore I knew what I saw. It was almost like it completely vanished from existence.

    Maybe it's been so long that all the details are hazy. Or I missed a certain note back then. The most likely case is that the pen was paired with a device similar to a LeapFrog, and drawing recognizable animals, like a frog, led to a croaking sound effect, for example. However, no matter how much I've scoured the internet, the mystery remains unsolved... maybe if I send little me a telepathic message, the answer will travel in time through memories? WILL UPDATE

    Also, if anyone has a remote clue to what I could be thinking of, PLEASE LEMME KNOW BECAUSE THE CURIOUSITY HAS NEVER DULLED AFTER ALL THESE YEARS, THANK YOU.
